Learn how to make your own terrifying monster with this digital crochet pattern. This pattern is a base and is intended to be used for many types of monsters. You can easily mod this pattern into a Yeti (seen in the photos), a Sasquatch, a Forest Ent, a troll, a spider goblin, a garden gnome -- the list goes on and on! Your creativity can really shine through with this pattern!

The Monster Plush Base Pattern comes with a 31-page PDF document in full color with detailed instructions and tons of large, clear photos -- including helpful graphics. You’ll also find a handy list of all the materials needed to make the monsters in the photo (yeti and forest guardian). The Monster Plush Base Pattern is written in English using standard US crochet terminology.

• You WILL need to sew to make this pattern. Some small parts can be glued on such as the teeth, nose, eyes (if using crochet) and nails. Sewing is more secure and long-lasting, but I do include glue recommendations for acrylic yarn.
• Pattern comes with crochet AND safety eye instructions
• Pattern DOES include color-change instructions for the face as seen on the Yeti.
• Pattern does NOT include any of the extras seen on the forest guardian themed monster and the goth monster (frogs, mushrooms, belt, leather jacket, etc). In the pattern, will get just the base which comes with everything seen on the Yeti and PLAIN red monster in the photos in this listing. -You can get the frog pattern seen on the forest guardian on my website or Ravelry shop.

To make this monster plush base, you’ll need the following materials:
• Size 4 Worsted Weight yarn.
• Sizes 3.75mm, 4.00mm & 5.00mm crochet hooks
• Tapestry needle
• Locking stitch markers and/or pins
• Polyester Stuffing
• Optional Supplies:
o Safety Eyes: Two 25mm safety eyes may be used instead of crocheting the eyes
o OPTIONAL
- Glue: I suggest Aleene’s Tacky Glue or Fabri-Tac for acrylic yarn.
- Decorative Marbles: aka “luster gems” (I call them garden marbles) can be added to the feet and bottom of the body of the monster to add weight and help it stand up more steadily.

Pattern Skill Level: Intermediate. Beginners are not recommended for this project due to the amount of sewing involved, as well as all the construction needed to create the mouth.

Size Info: With Worsted Weight yarn and a 5.00mm hook, monster stands approximately 16” high and has an 18” circumference around the widest part of the belly. If using blanket or bulky weight yarn, you may end up with a toddler-sized monster on your hands so be wary of your gauge if size is an issue for you.
