These quick-to-make mitts feature a no-lace scallop pattern to show off a striping or gradient yarn, and a full thumb gusset for a great fit.
The name for this pattern came from a search for suitable cocktails to serve with scallops (none, appears to be the answer) but I did find an Italian white wine called Montenovo that was recommended. “Monte” also rather suits the mounds of the scallop pattern!

Pattern tips:

Due to the nature of the stitch pattern, there is a large gap between sizes. To fine-tune fit, choose the size closest to your hand circumference and try going up or down a needle size.

If you want a longer cuff, work more repeats of the Scallop Pattern before beginning the thumb gusset. This will use more yarn, so if you’re knitting the largest size, you may need a second ball.
