Montjoi Shawl´pattern is number three of the Mediterranean shawl family.

Tramuntana´, Nizza Shawl´ & `Montjoi Shawl´ are sisters!

Different yarn weights can be used for this pattern, though dimensions and yardage will change.
Sock yarns are a good choice, adjust needle size ( half to one size bigger than the yarn´s suggestion on the banderole or tag) to create a nice fabric with a good drape.
One skein of fingering weight yarn is enough for a shawl with a good reasonable size.
Montjoi Shawl´ is an adjustable shawl, depending on your choice of yarn and yardage.

Knit the four basic shawl pattern rows as long as you wish, then change to the garter edge to finish your project.

To purl through the backloop (ptbl) every fourth row is not complicated at all. It is easy for both major knitting techniques, Continental and English style and fun to knit.
The eyelet of the yo of the previous row will have a little twist.
This will add elasticity to your Montjoi Shawl´.

You can find a little photo tutorial on this page, how to make a tassle.
Picture postcards are great tools for that.

Happy knitting!

There were some mistakes in the set up rows 1-5 and in the second pattern row.
So sorry about that!
