Life seems pretty stressful right now. A quick project with leftovers from stash often gives me a mood boost.
The samples used fingering weight yarn held double but a single strand of light worsted can also work.
The pattern is worked from the top down and provides instructions for a fitted or slouchy version as well as giving a choice of sewn double brim or a folded brim.

Needles: 4.5mm (US size 7) and 4mm (US size 6) circular needles (or size to meet gauge), at least 80 cm (32 in) long for magic loop. Needles sizes are just a suggestion and you may need to change needle size to match gauge.

Gauge after light blocking: 19 st to 10 cm/4 inches. Differences in gauge will affect the size of your hat and the yarn usage.

Main colour (MC): 40-45g fingering weight yarn.
Contrast colour (CC): approx. 40g fingering weight yarn.
You will need more yarn if you choose to make the hat larger.

Notions: yarn needle, 8 stitch markers.

The pattern is written for one size to suit an average female head, but is easily adjustable.
