MOONCHILD COLLECTION
Moonchild is a light summer knit & crochet set. The newest member of my Moonchild Collection, the Moonchild Bolero, adds a touch of airy elegance and soft layering to the ensemble — perfectly echoing the collection’s spirit of freedom, versatility, and handmade grace. Halter-top, lacy skirt, brimmed summer hat, and a chic bracelet, accompanied by this bolero shrug, create a perfect beach and leisure assembly.

After creating the Moonchild top and skirts, I felt that the collection needed more garments and accessories: a bracelet, a hat, and finally, a bolero. The Moonchild Bolero Shrug is designed in a similar stitch pattern as the rest of the items, bringing the pieces together in a complete look. Crocheted in the wide mesh, it’s light, breathable, and perfect for sunny days or crisp evenings.

MOONCHILD BOLERO
Light, airy, and effortlessly feminine, the Moonchild Bolero captures simplicity and grace in a piece that seems to float around you. Its open lace texture and delicate borders give it an ethereal touch, while the soft drape flatters the figure without constraining it. Designed for moments when you want to feel both free and refined, it pairs beautifully with dresses, tops, or breezy summer skirts.

THE DESIGN
What makes this design truly special is its form. Though it appears intricate, the Moonchild Bolero is worked in one continuous piece. You begin with the back, then extend into two front panels that gently widen over the shoulders, naturally forming soft little sleeves. This seamless construction gives it a graceful, layered look that flatters any figure.

THE PATTERN
The pattern is beginner-friendly and written in clear steps, with tips and special stitch tutorials to guide you. Because it’s worked in large mesh, you’ll quickly find yourself in a pleasant rhythm. And when you’re done, you’ll have not just a practical summer garment, but a statement piece that matches beautifully with the Moonchild skirts or any other wardrobe that you own.

This design comes with my newly released premium instructions — a carefully prepared pattern booklet that goes beyond the basics. Inside, you’ll find clear step-by-step directions, detailed diagrams, and thoughtfully styled pages that make the process both easy to follow and a pleasure to read. To give you a glimpse of the quality, on my website I’ve included a preview in a 3D format — flip through the book pages and see exactly what awaits you in the full version.
