MOONCHILD COLLECTION
Moonchild is a light summer knit & crochet set. The versatile, airy, lace cowboy hat is a lovely and practical addition to the rest of the collection. Halter-top, lacy skirt, and a chic bracelet create a perfect beach and leisure assembly.

After creating the Moonchild top and skirts, I knew the collection needed just one more accessory: a hat. The Moonchild Crochet Summer Hat is designed in the same stitch pattern as the rest of the collection, bringing the pieces together in a complete look. Crocheted in the rounds, it’s light, breathable, and perfect for sunny days.

HAT
What makes this hat special is its versatility. The wide brim gives you shade and elegance, while the two buttons on each side allow you to fold the brim up — instantly turning it into a cowboy hat. Add the leather cords and beads, and you have a hat that can go from casual beach walks to boho-inspired evenings.

PATTERN
The pattern is beginner-friendly and written in clear steps, with tips and special stitch tutorials to guide you. Because it’s worked in rounds, you’ll quickly find yourself in a pleasant rhythm. To make the brimmed summer Moonchild Hat you will need elementary level of crocheting and knitting skills. Stitches used in this pattern are:

Head circumference – 54-56 cm / 21-22 in.

• Yarn needle for weaving in ends

• 3 wooden beads, 15mm / 0.6in in diameter for decorating the hat
