Hello Everyone! Welcome to the 2nd annual #lyssmackdown. This year we’re collaborating with The Twisted Knitter, The Flying Needles, The Black Purl, The Wool Workshop & One City Market. I’m so excited you’re here and for us to get our knitting competition on! I hope you enjoy the pattern & remember-- You’re the boss of your own knitting!

The shape of this shawl is a cresangle (like a crescent and triangle had a baby!).

Materials:
Size 1 Yardage: 2 skeins of Wonderland Yarns Mad Hatter in either contrasting colors or the same colors (688 yds sport/dk weight)
Size 2 Yardage: 4 skeins of Wonderland Yarns Mad Hatter in either contrasting colors or the same colors (1375 yds sport/dk weight)
Size 6 needles (straight or circular)
Tapestry needle
Stitch markers (clip in)

Notes: I’ve included two sizes for people to adjust to what feels right for their body type, and how much yarn they have available. These sizes are just suggestions-- be the boss of your own knitting! Want to knit the whole thing in one color? Do it! Want to change colors four different times and make it triple the size of the sample? By all means! Your knitting is yours; I’m just here to give suggestions and hopefully a little inspiration.

Pattern errata:
The stitch count doesn’t super matter beyond making sure you have a multiple of 6 + 2 for the falls section.

The shawl is intended to have a wavy shape by section like the way water pushes in and out in a river bank (the garter section will be will be wider than the stockinette). If you do not like this effect, you can omit the kfb on the WS of the garter section. This will also make the shawl more of a triangular shape.

Sizes:
Size 1 dimensions: 20” tall, 60“ wide and 34” on the angle
Size 2 dimensions: 28.5” tall, 64” wide and 38” on the angle
Gauge: 24 st, 32 rows for 4 in (knit in stockinette).
