Moonrise is an ornate crescent shawl which begins with a textured pattern of twining lines and eyelets, and evolves into a beautifully intricate lace.

It was inspired by a peaceful backyard camping ‘trip‘, and a skein of breathtakingly beautiful yarn, and uses a secret code stitch pattern by Naomi Parkhurst, based on the word moonrise.

The design suits heavy lace to fingering yarn, in solid, semi-solid, gradient or subtle speckle varieties.

Both parts of the shawl can be repeated to any size, making it adaptable to any yardage.
