Pattern Inspiration:
The inspiration for Moonrise Hernandez, is the Ansel Adams photograph taken in 1941, titled Moonrise, Hernandez, New Mexico. The monochrome evident in the image is what truly inspired this pattern…it is ALL about black, white and the shades of gray in between. When I view the photograph, the white crosses in the graveyard, lit by the setting sun, become the centerpiece of this stunning b+w image. I truly hope you enjoy it. There are so many opportunities to experiment with color!

This cowl is constructed from the bottom to the top and worked on circular needles. The pattern is written for worsted weight yarn. It includes suggestions for measurements.

Important: Mosaic knitting {Complete instructions for Mosaic Knitting are included}. There are a total of 4 charts used in the knitting of the 4 pattern sections.

The ability to read charts OR the willingness to LEARN HOW to read charts is a must.
