The Moontree Pillow is inspired by a snowy landscape in winter, when the noise of everyday life slowly fades away under the falling snow and the trees stand sleeping and dreaming of spring while the moonshine is reflected in every tiny snow crystal.

Cuddle up with a cup of tea and your Moontree pillow when it’s cold outside and the snow is falling..

This pillow is a perfect colourwork project for beginners. It is entirely knit in stockinette stitch, the tree motif is embroidered on using duplicate stitch, giving the illusion of colourwork without actually having to knit with more than one colour at any time.

This design uses Rowan Yarns Pure Wool Worsted, a superwash yarn that is machine washable. Always use the knitting needle size that gives you the correct gauge. Please note that the pillowcase will be slightly stretched when a pillow is inserted reducing gauge to 17 sts and 25 rows.
