Moonwalker’s socks are my interpretation of the infamous white slouchy socks worn by the greatest entertainer of all time at his performances.

This knitting pattern is written to be worked from the toe up, in the round on Magic loop. It features a heel flap & gusset, German short rows, as well as a folded-over cuff.

Yarn: 2 skeins of Filcolana Arwetta (50 g = 210 m) or any other fingering-weight sock yarn,

1 cone of Woolly Hugs Glitzer (20 g = 1000 m) or any other shiny strand in similar meterage,

1 cake of Online Starlight Linie 344 (25 g = 390 m) or any other sequin strand in similar meterage.

Needles: 2.25 mm (US 1) 80 cm (or longer if you prefer) circular needles,

3.5 mm (US 4) 80 cm (or longer if you prefer) circular needles

The needle sizes are a suggestion. Please use a needle size which gives you the correct gauge.

Gauge: 32 sts x 50 rounds per 10 x 10 cm / 4 x 4” holding fingering + lace yarn, in stockinette, blocked

Sizes: S (M) L, which correspond to foot circumference of 17.5 cm / 7” (20 cm / 8”) 22.5 cm / 9”. The pattern features instructions for customizing the foot length

The sample is knitted in Filcolana Arwetta (color 100), Woolly Hugs Glitzer (color 301 silver), and Online Starlight Linie 344 (color 0001).
