The Moose Balaclava is a cozy and simple balaclava, knitted up quickly. It is for beginner knitters who are comfortable with knit stitches and purl stitches. The balaclava is fitted, but notice that the superwash merino has the tendency to stretch out a bit, so the finished balaclava with get a bit wider with wear. However, if you prefer a more oversized balaclava, you kan knit the bigger size.

Sizing: 54 – 58 (58 – 61) cm
After washing and blocking the finished balaclava measures 18 (20) cm across when laying flat
Required techniques: cast on,knit stitch, purl stitch, backward loop cast on, pick up and knit stitches, Italian (tubular) bind off, yarn over, knit two stitches together
Needles: Circular needles 5 mm US 8 / 60 cm 24 inches, 5 mm US 8 / 40 cm 16 inches, 4.5 mm US 7/ 40 cm 16 inches
Yarn: 100 (150) g Drops Merino Extra Fine Mix held together with 50 (50) g DROPS Brushed Alpaca Silk Uni Colour
