The “More Zig than Zag” is not an actual pattern, but more directions on how I made the cloth. You can use the cotton you have in your stash and the gauge doesn’t matter too much, as you can always cast on more or less stitches.

This pattern is not reversible, so take that into account if you want to use it for something else.
