When I was a teenager, my Mom let me plant a bunch of Morning Glory seeds at the base of little wooden sitting area my Dad had built in our yard.
Almost overnight it seemed, they were climbing the structure, with bright blue blooms bursting all over the place. But, by late afternoon, those blooms would close up, hiding away their brilliant colour until the next morning.
When I first saw the Day Flower stitch pattern in my stitchionary, I immediately thought of those Morning Glories.
Here, they climb your foot, waiting to bloom in a graceful, lacy splendor. The lace is offset by columns of sturdy ribbing, which keep the sock snug and well-fitting. They are the perfect sock for summer, or those cold winter days when you need a friendly reminder of the glory of the sun.

Pattern is charted only.
