If you love interlocking filet mesh crochet and are up for a challenge, this Moroccan henna-inspired afghan is well worth the effort! A double border is even added to take advantage of the two layers of crochet. Since this pattern contains many diagonals to create the design, it is recommended for someone who is comfortable with the interlocking filet mesh technique.

This pattern provides both row-by-row written instructions as well as a design chart for reference.

If you haven’t tried diagonals on an interlocking filet mesh project yet, you can learn how on my YouTube Channel and follow along with my FREE Interlocking Snowflake Coaster pattern! You can also read about it on my blog!

Skill Level:
Intermediate to Experienced

Finished Size:
54” wide x 75” long

Yardage:

Main Color:
2800 yds. of Hobbii Amigo - Light worsted (DK) weight yarn was used.

Contrasting Color:
Hobbii Winter Glow has a variation in thickness from lace weight to worsted weight. A total of 3060 yds. was used for this afghan. If a uniform thickness DK weight yarn is used for the contrasting color instead, I recommend 3600 yds. for this afghan.
