Overlay Mosaic Crochet designs. Beginner friendly mosaic designs for crocheters who know basic stitches, as there are no special stitches, just SC and DC.

Christmas Gnomes are four cute gnome designs and one tree design to use as you wish. They are designed to add some fun to a Christmas blanket and can be used in combination with many other Christmas designs with compatible stitch counts. Pattern includes 2 layout options for blankets using all the gnome designs.

Each design has a 48 stitch repeat so are very compatible with other designs of 48, 24, 12 or 6 stitch repeats. The trees are designed to be used as a divider strip. Designs can be used individually as a strip in a blanket or used together to create your own gnome blanket, cushion, table runner etc. The layout options pictured show some possible uses of these designs in a throw/blanket. There are no border instructions.

Pattern includes:
• Written instructions and charts (with Xs) for the 5 designs and details on how to use them to make blankets.
• Instructions on mosaic overlay techniques and chart reading.
• Separate PDFs with condensed written sections for each design. One page each design for easy use and printing.
• Full size charts for 2 blanket layouts to use with an appropriate app or tablet. There are no written instructions specifically for these layouts, but there are written instructions for each design.
• US and UK terminology. You will receive 4 PDFS.

One repeat of each design in Catona yarn, using a 3mm hook, used an approximate total of 500 metres. One gnome design using this yarn measures 24 cm x 20 cm (9 ½” x 7 ¾”) not including the fringe.

One repeat of each design using Worsted weight yarn measures approx. 30 cm x 28 cm (12” x 11”) using a 4.5mm hook.

Any yarn can be used for these designs. Use the recommended hook size for your yarn. When choosing yarn, it is important to choose contrasting colours so the pattern stands out.
