Using slip-stitch color work and a dramatic pattern, this loom knit cowl and Hat Set pattern is sure to make a statement. Narrow ribbing frames this close fitting cowl and hat adding polish and allowing the pattern design to pop. Although Mosaic Loom Knitting looks complicated it is really quite simple. You will knit with 1 color only for 2 rows at a time, skipping pegs with the opposite color. It’s just like regular loom knitting except that you will be skipping some pegs by placing your yarn behind the peg to be skipped. The design is charted to create the illusion that 2 colors are being knit at the same time.

Skill Level: Confident Beginner+. You will need to know how to do the regular knit stitch, the purls stitch and the chain cast-on and chain two bind off. It is helpful to have experience in reading knitting patterns for this project. Pattern is both charted and written.

Loom: This pattern calls for a 1/2” peg spacing loom and 66 pegs and is worked in the round. The 66 peg, CinDWood 1/2” loom was used and is recommended.
