Mosaic crochet, Fall pillowcase
This crochet pattern for a pillowcase with falling leaves and a mushroom is made with overlay mosaic crochet technique.
It’s perfect to decorate your rooms for the fall season!
Mosaic crochet uses:
❖At the beginning and at the end of each row a single crochet through both loops
❖Single crochet in the back loop
❖Double crochet in the front loop
❖ In my patterns I instruct you to chain one and cut your yarn at the end of each row.
❖The back of the pattern is striped and gives you a impression of the pattern on the front
This pattern is available in English and uses US terminology . This pattern has 4 different variantions of the pattern and includes two versions:
❖ Version 1, uses a ‘normal’ double crochet symbol in the pattern. A pattern for two colors and six color changes with both a written pattern.
❖Version 2, uses a ‘x’ as a double crochet symbol in the pattern. A pattern for two colors and six color changes with both a written pattern.
I used 100% acryl yarn, but you can use any yarn you like for this pattern.
With thicker yarn or larger crochet hook, the blanket/ wall hanging will get bigger than the size mentioned below. With thinner yarn or smaller crochet hook, the blanket/ wall hanging will get smaller.
Measurements:
❖I used a 4,0 mm hook
❖ With = 63 rows and 40 cm or 15,8 inch
❖ Length = 75 rows and 40 cm or 15,8 inch
❖ Color 1 (main color) = about 300 meters or 328 yards
❖ Color 2 = about 200 meters or 219 yards
With the color changes the needed yarn depends on the color, it’s written down in the pattern.
