This stylish mosaic crossbody bag is a fun and enjoyable project that combines beautiful texture with practical design. The bag body is worked in the round using Overlay Mosaic Crochet, so there are no tails or ends to weave in at the end of every round.

The flap is worked in moss (linen) stitch for a simple, polished finish, while the strap is made using Thermal Stitch for added strength and durability. Choose any two contrasting colors of sport- or DK-weight cotton yarn to create your own unique look and add your favorite button to the front for the perfect finishing touch.

Sized to hold your essentials without the bulk of a large purse, this versatile little bag is perfect for shopping, outings, travel, or anytime you want to carry just the necessities in style!

The pattern includes written instructions, a mosaic crochet chart for the bag body and links to my YouTube videos for the Anchored DC, the Overlay Mosaic Crochet technique and the Thermal Stitch.

Desired button (approx. 1” diameter)

Notes: Photographed model made with Omega Sinfonia in #C801 Blanco/White (MC) and #C816 Azul Nordico/Teal (CC). Strap on model is 38” (96.5 cm) long. If you desire a longer strap, more yards of MC will be needed.
