Everyone needs a Llama cushion!

Some details:

  • This pattern uses the two row, inset mosaic crochet method
  • US crochet terms are used
  • There are several charts included, for a variety of llama configurations
  • The yarn I used for the beige cushion was less than 2x 100g balls of Stylecraft Special DK in Parchment, and less than 1x 100g ball of Ice Yarns Magic Light.
  • The second, black cushion used less than 2x 100g balls of Stylecraft Special DK in Black, and less than 1x 100g ball of Ice Yarns Lana Bella.
  • Any DK (#3, Sport weight) yarns will work.
  • The cushion cover is designed to fit standard 40cm x 40cm (16” x 16”) insert
  • The pattern can be used with any weight yarn, and the size is easily adjustable
  • Any hook size can be used, choose one that gives your work the width you require for your project
  • The inset mosaic technique, combined with the large blocks of a single colour in this pattern results in long, unattached chains on the reverse of the project. This is fine for a cushion, however not suitable for a blanket or scarf etc, unless you intend to line it, or use a reversible mosaic method. I show one possibility in the pattern.

Have fun :)
