This pattern has come about due to my mosaic crochet addiction - I love the inset (2 row) mosaic method, which doesn’t have many ends to deal with, and couldn’t find a pattern with this simple, wavy, oscillating design. So here it is :)

Some details:

  • This pattern uses the two row, inset mosaic crochet method, so you do not cut the yarn every row - no ends!
  • The only stitches used are sc, dc, and chains
  • US crochet terms are used
  • There is a chart included
  • The yarn I used was 1 Scheepjes Whirl in colour Brambleberry, and between 3 and 4 Scheepjes Whirlettes in colour Ice
  • A border is optional, 3 Whirlettes is plenty if you do not want to add one
  • The final size of my blanket is approximately 80 cm x 105 cm (31” x 41”)
  • The pattern can be used with any weight yarn, and the size is easily adjustable
  • Any hook size can be used, choose one that gives your work the feel and drape that you are happy with
  • The gauge is not important for this project, it will however affect the final size of your blanket

Have fun!
