This lapghan is the middle sister in the mosaic sampler trio and uses mosaic crochet which can look tricky to do, but is real easy as it only uses two of the basic crochet stitches. The instructions are mostly in chart form with any extra information required included in a key below the chart. The border of the lapghan is worked in the envelope method which allows all the pesky ends from each row to be enclosed so no need to sew them in.

Pattern includes:

  • a 17 page instruction booklet
  • links to video tutorials

Size: The size of the finished lapghan depends on the yarn and hook you use. My blanket is approx. 99cm x 124cm (38 inches x 48 inches) using a 5mm hook and aran/worsted yarn.

Level: Suitable for Beginner or for the more advanced crocheter
If you are unsure how to work mosaic crochet you can find a short tutorial on my Youtube channel.

Materials: The pattern calls for five different colours, a main background colour and then four contrasting colours.
