• This pattern includes a detailed chart with stitch key and general written directions for using the chart to complete your project. If you’re new to mosaic crochet, there are many helpful YouTube videos. That’s how I learned!

• The chart was designed for a runner that can be used on a bookcase, table, or bed. It uses the overlay mosaic crochet technique, and can easily be adapted for a blanket, wall hanging, or scarf.

• Worsted weight (#4) yarn and a G (4 mm) hook were used for the sample, with a gauge of 16.5 stitches and 16 rows per 4 inches.

• The sample measures 9.75 inches wide and can be made to any length. The bookcase runner shown is 9.75 inches wide and 53 inches long (not including fringe).

• The sample is 39 rows wide and 220 stitches long, using a 36-stitch repeat.

• The sample was made with I Love This Yarn—1 skein (355 yards) of black, 1 skein of red, and 2 skeins of white. The pattern can be made with any weight yarn, according to your needs.
