Mosaic Tartan

Tartan is so versatile that I’ve included instructions for 4 items, a small blanket, a cushion, a table runner and small table mat. Tartan can be used for many things as the colours can look fantastic. This design is not a traditional tartan pattern, it’s my own creation.
You can play with the colours to create your own colour scheme or use the colours suggested in this pattern. I’ve made a Christmas table mat for my coffee table.
The pattern contains full written instructions and charts, which are suitable for printing. Included are yarn details and estimated amounts for a table mat, table runner, blanket and a cushion. There are some details on how to change the size of a blanket and instructions for a small plain border. There are also finishing instructions for a cushion and a video link for the join. In addition, there are some suggested colour combinations at the end of the pattern.
The pattern is suitable for mosaic beginners as there are no special stitches, just basic crochet stitches. If you haven’t worked mosaic crochet before but know crochet basics and can research YouTube videos if needed, then this pattern is for you. However, I have included instructions on mosaic overlay techniques and chart reading.
When choosing yarn, it is important to choose contrasting colours so the design can be seen clearly. Yarn requirements and gauge depend on which project you choose and details are in the pattern.
