A unique throw inspired by Iceland’s mossy lava fields.

Throw is knit in 3 strips. The background of changing stripes is composed of one strand each of Plotulopi and Love Story held together, and a single strand of Plotulopi is picked up and dropped as needed to work the simple charted motifs.

Seams are joined with mattress stitch.

Gauge

15 sts and 30 rows (15 garter ridges) = 4” (10cm) in garter stitch using one strand each of Plotulopi and Love Story held together, blocked.

Exact gauge is not critical, but if your gauge is larger than specified, you may need more yarn to finish the throw.
