There’s a quiet kind of magic in the places where earth and sky meet. Soft moss underfoot, a breath of cold air, and a gentle hush that only winter brings.
Mossfell grew from that feeling: a hat shaped by warmth, texture, and the calm rhythm of winter knitting.

The stitch pattern shifts between firm lines and softer curves drifting across a bed of reverse stockinette like wind-carved ridges on a hillside. Wide and narrow cables paired with gentle mock cables make this hat interesting to knit and beautiful to wear. You can work a classic brim or choose a double-length brim to fold up for extra warmth and a modern winter look.

Mossfell is available in English, Swedish, and German.

If it finds a home on your needles, share your version with #MossfellHat and tag @thedrizzleofhoney. I’d love to see it out in the wild.

Construction:
