Another pattern for the moth lovers! This pattern was created for the Moth Ball at Birdhouse Yarns, with yarn dyed specifically to match the imperial moth, by Hot Magenta Yarn Company. It is available in 3 sizes (adult small, medium, and large)

As of 10/11/2025 there is only one moth chart available, but more will be added periodically so that you can represent your favorite moth.

This cozy hat is worked bottom up in the round, with a folded brim. Colorwork moths are started once you have purled the “fold” row, and colorwork is continued across the fold seam. The top decreases through four center double decreases, and is intended to sit close and high on the head. Adjustments to length can be made easily, but this will affect final yardage required.
