In the Great Forests of Nidd, a cragged cave lays hidden behind a wall of foliage. Inside a local witch was said to have lurked in the time of Henry VIII. Whispers of her prophercies were carried off to lands far beyond that of North Yorkshire. However, amongst the towns folk of North Yorkshire, she was most deeply respected for herbologist knowledge.

This pin cushion depicts Mother Shipton’s cauldron bubbles infusing the air with a scent of wild garlic from the local wood that surrounded her home.
