Mr. Toad of Toad Hall has had a multitude of hobbies. But the most destructive of them all is when he buys his first motor-car. Unfortunately for everyone else on the road, Toad’s passion for motor-cars is only surpassed by his inability to drive one well. Toad is a terrible driver.

These mitts are inspired by the story Wind In The Willows, first published in 1908 by Kenneth Grahame. The swerving tracks over the top of each mitt are left over from Mr. Toad’s wild driving.

The mitts are knit from the cuff up and include a thumb gusset. Extra thumb length is added after completing the rest of the mitt.
