Mou Mou Bear Leaf House
Knitting Pattern: Mou Mou Bear Leaf House (EN)
Quiet autumn forests, tiny woodland shelters, and the imagination of childhood play inspired Mou Mou Bear Leaf House.
The structure of the house is created using long cotton i-cords made with an i-cord knitting machine. The i-cords are then carefully crocheted together to build the open-frame shape of the house. A hidden wire is added inside the structure to help hold the curved opening and maintain its sculptural form while still preserving a soft textile feel.
Each leaf is knitted separately using wool yarn in rich autumn-inspired colors. Wire is carefully inserted around the edges of the leaves so they can hold gentle natural curves and organic movement. The leaves are then attached one by one to decorate the roof, creating a soft woodland canopy over the house.
Designed for both display and play, the Leaf House becomes a small, imaginative world for children and knitted toys — a cozy space for storytelling, role play, and quiet moments of creativity.
