This close-fitting hat features a zig-zag pattern reminiscent of a mountain range. It is knitted flat and seamed, with 8 sizes ranging from baby to adult. You will need to be confident at working basic knit and purl stitches, knitting two stitches together to decrease and be able to work stranded knitting without pulling the tension too tight.

You will need up to 50g of each colour yarn – any DK that works to a tension of 22sts and 30rows to 10cm (4 inches) should be suitable, but the pattern will stand out more if you use a smooth yarn.
