A lush double lattice of twisted stitches weaves across this triangular shawl, framed by bouncy cables.

This symmetrical shawl is worked sideways. It begins with a few stitches and grows to the middle using increases hidden in the twisted stitch pattern, then decreases to the opposite point. The increases are worked on the wrong side rows while the decreases in the second half of the shawl are worked on the right side.

Gauge is not critical for this pattern, but using a different yarn weight or needles will affect the size of the finished shawl and the amount of yarn needed.

Size:
73.5” / 187 cm wingspan and 20” / 51 cm deep at its deepest point

Yarn:
900 yds / 823 m of DK weight yarn
Sample shown in Farmer’s Daughter Juicy DK (274 yds / 251 m per 100 g skein; 100% superwash merino) in Castle Rock (3 skeins)

Needles:
US size 6 / 4.0 mm circular needles, at least 24” / 60 cm in length

Gauge:
26 sts x 29 rows per 4” / 10 cm in the Twist pattern after blocking
Exact gauge is not critical but will affect the size of the finished shawl and the amount of yarn needed.
