This pattern is for both the mouse and the plant pot for it to hide inside, with a choice of daffodils or poppies!

The pattern contains lots of photos to help you every step of the way. It is written in English, using American crochet terms. All of my patterns have been independently tested prior to publication.

For the mouse (pages 4 - 8), you will need the following colours:

  • Main mouse colour - I used pale grey or cream (approx. 23.5m per mouse).
  • Nose / ears / feet / tail colour - I used pale pink (approx. 13m per mouse).

For the plant pot and soil (pages 9 - 12), you will need the following colours:

  • Lilac - for the main pot colour (approx. 82m).
  • Purple - for the plant pot rim (approx. 16.5m).
  • Brown - for the soil (approx. 30m).
  • Dark Yellow - for the centre of the plant pot flower (approx. 1m).
  • White - for the petals on the plant pot flower (approx. 3m).

For the daffodils (pages 13, 14 & 17), you will need the following colours:

  • Dark Yellow - for the centre sections (approx. 11.5m).
  • Pale Yellow - for the petals (approx. 20m).
  • Green - for the stems & leaves (approx. 13m).

For the poppies (pages 15 - 17), you will need the following colours:

  • Red - for the petals (approx. 30m).
  • Green - for the stems & leaves (approx. 15m).
  • Black - for the centre sections (approx. 3.5m).

Please Note - The amount of yarn used will vary according to yarn weight, hook size and stitch tension so these measurements are only a rough guide. The pattern refers to the colours that I used, however these can be substituted for colours of your choice.

You will also need:

  • A suitable size hook for the yarn you have chosen - I used a 4mm hook.
  • A pair of 6mm black safety eyes per mouse.
  • Some toy stuffing.
  • A small amount of black finer yarn or thread for adding the details to the mouse’s face (this step is optional).
  • I don’t do anything to reinforce the stems - the edge of the petals on the 3 flowers will be joined together to help hold them up. If, however, you would like to reinforce the stems then a folded pipe cleaner works well for this.
  • Other tools you will need are a tapestry needle, some scissors and some stitch markers.

You are welcome to sell the items that you make using this pattern, but please do not sell / share the pattern itself. Thank you
