Bunny & Fox are welcoming a new friend: Mouse!

This is a basic crochet Mouse toy pattern, that can be made either as a baby-friendly soft toy or a soft toy with supporting wiring enabling the toy to take various postures.

Crochet Techniques:
The pattern is done mostly in half double crochet (hdc). Single crochet (sc) and double crochet (dc) are used for shaping. Additionally, the pattern requires increases and decreases, work in back and front loops, change to different color yarn, and basic embroidery stitches. For shaping, the stitches 3 hdc in 1 and hdc dec 3 together are used.

Materials used:
• Yarn: light worsted in main color for Mouse (63 m; 69 yd), white or beige for belly (7 m, 7 ¾ yd), pink for nose and ears (2 m; 2 ¼ yd), and black for eyes and mouth (0.60 m; 24 in)
• Hook: 3.00 mm
• Tapestry Needle: a blunt-end needle for embroidery and assembly
• Stuffing: cotton stuffing for making soft toys
• Hardware: Wire (18 gauge or 1.00 mm diameter), wire tape, and pliers
• Optional: quilting pins to keep parts in place when assembling

Gauge & Final Size:
Gauge is not important in this pattern. However, using a 3.00 mm hook and half double crochet gauge (20 hdc x 18 rows), the finished size is 15 cm (6 in) tall from head to toes, excluding tail, and 7.5 cm (3 in) at its widest.

As an extra feature of this pattern, the amount of material for each crocheted piece is indicated at the beginning of each respective section.

Enjoy!
