I proudly present Mrs. Argyle:)
When I first presented my version for children, Mrs. Argyle was already on the needles. The crucial moment is to find time for taking the photos, but finally we found the perfect timing (and the weather wasn’t too bad). I had to freeze a little, but I wanted so much to take advantage of the channel and the yellow leaves in the background.

And I’m in love with my new cardigan:)I wear it constantly at the moment…and it was so fun to work!

Design
This very classic cardigan is a must-have in the wardrobe. Waist-shaped (or not…), buttoned, well-fitting sleeves, a crew-neck AND the simple, yet elegant, argyle-inspired diamond lace it just goes with everything:)

Construction
The cardigan is entirely seamless.
The lower body is worked back and forth in one piece to the underarms. Work is divided, upper fronts and back are continued in separate pieces. The shoulders are worked together using the 3-needle bind-off method. The sleeves are worked top-down from picked-up sts, starting from the sleeve-cap shaped by short-rows. From the underarms the sleeves is worked in the round to bind-off.
Neckline, button-band and buttonhole-band are worked from picked-up sts.

Sizes
There are 16 sizes to choose from. Finished chest measurement (after washing/blocking and closed): 31/32.5/33.5/34.5/36/37.5/38.5/39.5/40.5/42/43/44/45.5/46.5/47.5/ 49”. Sample is worked in size 1 with an inch of negative ease.

Materials
Yarn: I recommend that you use a fingering weight yarn with great stitch-definition. It is important that you work according to gauge to achieve a great result! I used ”Superfine 3/11 from Iloyarn. This yarn is of fingering weight and comes in balls of 50gr/1.76oz and 183meters/200yards. You will need 6/6/6/7/7/7/7/8/8/8/8/9/9/9/10/10 balls of this yarn to work the cardigan. Needles: A long circular needle, 80cm/32”, needle size 3mm/US2.5 to work the lower and upper body. A circular needle 40cm/16”, needle sixe 3mm/US2.5 to work the sleeve-cap. Dpns, size (or a circular needle if workint the magic loop)3mm/US2.5 to work the sleeves. Use the needle size needed to obtain gauge! Notions: 8 removable stitch-markers, buttons 1cm/0.3” across. Tapestry needle. Row counter.

Gauge 26 sts and 36 rows = 10 x 10cm/4 x 4”.
Take time to check gauge:)
