This is a PATTERN for a knitted necklace named after a character in Jane Austen’s book, EMMA. Mrs. Elton fears being “overtrimmed”, but you need not fear that with this necklace!

The project works up quickly….I can usually get one done while watching a movie in the evening with my husband. :)

The pattern requires about 30 yards of very fine yarn, 15 large beads (wired or drop shaped), 15 small beads, a necklace clasp, size 1 knitting needles, and a 1 mm or smaller crochet hook.

The pattern download includes written directions, charts, step by step photos, and a brief article about Augusta Elton. Full support is available if you have any questions.
