I have alternate instructions in here for making the spots as you go and juggling two colors of yarn at once or making it in one color and sewing spots on later.

Most of this pattern is worked in the round. Some parts are breifly worked flat. Pieces are crocheted and sewn together.

My prototypes ended up about 7 inches tall.

There are three main colors of yarn. You won’t need a full skein of them, but you will need a sizable amount. The tongue and face can be done with scrap yarn. You’ll need stuffing and a tapestry needle. A regular sewing needle and thread could come in handy, but isn’t necessary. You may want pins to assist in assembly.
