Multnomah Falls is a classic cardigan with a soft, modern twist and simple braided cables bordered by an easy lace stitch. It’s a super soft and comfortable cardigan to wear. Choose a lighter yarn for a light airy sweater (Suri fingering) or use a sport weight for a heavier sweater.

The construction is top-down and totally seamless with modified drop shoulders. It can be made in several yarn weights, from Fingering to Sport or a combination thereof.…just adjust needle size to get gauge. There’s plenty of structure built into the design so that it will keep its shape after lots of wear.

Sizing is inclusive with intended ease of 6 inches / 15 cm.

This pattern has been professionally tech-edited and tested. The pattern instructions are fully written and charted.

SIZING
XS(S, M, L, XL)(2XL, 3XL, 4XL, 5XL). Designed to be worn with approx 6 inches / 15 cm ease at chest.

FINISHED MEASUREMENTS
Finished Chest (worn buttoned): 39(41, 46, 47.75, 52.75)(54.5, 59.75, 66.5, 68.25) inches / 99(104, 117, 121.5, 134)(138.5, 152, 169, 173.5) cm.
Choose a size that is about 6 inches / 15 cm larger than chest measurement. Can adjust size a bit by how much you open up the lace stitches in blocking. Measurements assume lace is blocked open all the way.

YARN INFO
Light Fingering to Sport weight work well. See pattern info for gauge and adjusting needle sizes to achieve gauge. The cables create a heavier fabric than one might expect so the fingering weight samples are great for spring and summer.

Estimated Yarn Required
