Mum’s Headband and Cowl Set PDF Knitting Pattern

Lovely headband and cowl designed and knitted for my Mum to keep her warm during the cold season.

Necessary skills:

• Knit and purl stitches Binding off
• Sewing or knitting seams together
• Round (circular) knitting

Gauge:

• 14 sts = 10 cm/4”
• 18 rows = 10 cm/4”
• Check your gauge. Use any size needles to obtain the gauge.

Materials:

• 150 g/5.3 oz aran or worsted yarn
• 5.0 mm/UK 6/US 8 needles ― straight for the headband; circular (80 cm or less) for the cowl
• Stitch markers

Measurements:

• Headband: approximately 10 cm/3.9” wide. Knit as long as needed to fit snugly around head.
• Cowl: approximately 41.5 cm/16.3” long and 21 cm/8.3” wide.
