’This is a classic ankle sock pattern with a soft textured chevron running down the front and back. It’s worked as an ankle sock but is very easily adapted to any length and would make a great boot sock’’ Jo x

Skills required:
You will need to be able to work in the round using double pointed needles (DPN’s) and know how to work a cable pattern. I’ve given row by row instructions and included symbols charts for easy reference.
For an expert finish on the toe it is helpful to know how to graft live stitches, though not imperative.

A note on size:
I’ve worked this pattern to fit an average women’s UK shoe size of 4-6 (Eur 37-40), but it’s very easy to adapt to fit a smaller or larger shoe size by working more of less rows after the heel shaping. Actual finished measurements : 18cm/7 in high
