Murray's scarf
My friend Murray is quite effortlessly the grooviest person you’ll ever meet.
He loves this classic-style scarf that I knitted for his birthday. And gets lots of compliments on it from other groovy people.
It is completely reversible which I really think a scarf should be. It has interest but is not too patterned or fussy which I think suitable for a man - although it is of course eminently suitable for a woman too. It also knits nice and flat - no curling corners or edges.
It is a very, very simple pattern. I don’t want to mislead you – it is a one-row pattern. But I am hoping you won’t mind paying a couple of dollars for it to help raise money for animal aid. All proceeds will go to one or more of a number of animal welfare charities.
It uses one of the many stitches that are known as garter rib. Nice and simple – something to knit in front of the TV after dinner.
I hope you enjoy knitting this – and wearing it or giving it. Thank you for helping to raise funds to aid animals in need.
If you have any questions you can contact me via Ravelry where I am also Creamwool.
If your friends like the scarf and want to knit one too, I would be grateful if you would be kind enough to direct them to me and the pattern via Ravelry.
