I have a young friend who spends a lot of time in the gym. He prefers tight-fitting shirts that show off all those hours spent sculpting his body. So I thought, why not knit him a body-clinging T-shirt in 100% cotton? The result is this tight-fitted T-shirt for a young muscular man. It is worked at a much larger gauge than normal for this yarn, so the fabric is extremely stretchy. The size is one to four inches of negative ease at the chest and is shaped even narrower down to the waist.

But what if your man just wants a regular fitting T-shirt? You can use this pattern for that as well. Simply work it in a size with positive ease and eliminate the decreases down the body to produce a normal-sized, short-sleeved T-shirt with set-in sleeves. The set-in sleeves, of course, are produced using my Phrancko’s Seamless Set-In Sleeves construction.
