The Mushroom Gathering Poncho was born out of the need for a cushy knit poncho using stockinette stitch for a friend also named Emma.

The sizes are written for adults and are structured around adding length if needed. The model in the photo is wearing a size small, she is 5’2” and fit. I like my poncho only slightly longer than this, so I make mine somewhere between a small and a medium.

It is worked double stranded, which means two strands of yarn are held together to make the poncho have its cushy look.

You’ll need two balls of Lion Brand Pound of Love, or two balls of worsted weight of similar yardage, and a 10.5mm circular needle. Mine is a 24” one.
