Mûtske
Mûtske is the Frisian word for small hat. (The ‘û’ is pronounced more or less like the ‘oo’ in good.) This small hat is knit in the round from the brim up, using either double-pointed needles or a circular needle for the magic-loop method. It has a simple yet decorative stitch pattern, and the decreases on the crown form fun swirling rays. Mûtske is a quick little knit that will make a lovely baby gift and will fit the average newborn baby head.
