This pattern is available for free.

A simple cashmere hat pattern with an inverted hem that can be easily adapted to any size and other types of yarn. Most of it is knit in plain stockinette stitch while the inside of the hem is a 1x1 rib.

There are very detailed instructions on how to adjust this hat to any other sizes but you will have to do it yourself. So, it’s more of a very detailed recipe. There are no instructions for other sizes. Given that a lot of makers will want to knit this in a more affordable yarn I thought this was the much better choice.

If you choose the same yarn, you will need three balls (25 grams each) of yarn. Though, I only used up half of the skein in the contrasting color (so if you plan to knit two hats, you’d only need 5).

This hat is knit in the round. You will need two sets of needles (either circulars or dpns) because the inside of the hem is knit with one needle size smaller (both to make the ribbing look neater and to adjust for the different ease).
