My barquette
Any resemblance to existing cookie might not be purely coincidental.
This is the second pattern of my french “le gouter” collection, and it will not be the last.
For those how do not know this cookie, it is a barquette. Basically it is a soft sponge with a filling. But you’re not here for a cooking lesson so I will just go back to the pattern.
Even if this pattern might seem like a lot, it is quite easy to knit and I just love the finished product so I hope you will enjoy it too.
Techniques you will need : short row, intarsia, augmentation and decrease, picking up stitches, grafting.
As you can see on the picture, this pattern can easily be made with any yarn from you stash.
You will need :
• 25g brown yarn
• 25g red yarn (or any color you want to use for the filling)
The size of you finished object will vary depending on the yarn and needle you will choose.
For your reference this is the size of my samples :
• Needle size : 2,5 mm
• Yarn : Mille Fili from Wolle Roedel
• Gauge : 31 sts & 56 rows in garter stitch
• length : 23 cm
• width : 13 cm
