This is a variation on the venerable Granny Shawl from the 70’s. This is not a formal pattern; it is a short set of notes and changes for you to use to make a crocheted version of a Danish Tie Shawl. You, the crocheter, should have basic skills and know how to make a granny square already.

The pattern uses 6 skeins of sock yarn for the body of the shawl plus one skein in a contrast color for the border -- this is for a plus size. Others will most likely use 4-5 skeins. There are no charts or row by row instructions.
