Fun knitted trophy for your Christmas wall (or any other time of year wall for that matter!)
This pattern is knitted in the round over 4 needles with no seaming. The ears and antlers are knitted separately (in the round) then whip stitched onto the head afterwards. The whole head is then felted in a washing machine to give it stability when positioned on a wall (a simple ‘d’ ring sewn onto the back of the neck then hooked over a nail or hook on the wall is all you need). The eyes are toy safety eyes though circles of felt or a pair of buttons will also suffice.
The size of the trophy I made - I used aran yarn and 5mm (size 8) needles - measures 12 ins total height (includes the antlers) x 8.5 ins - total width (includes the ears).
The head is stuffed with toy filling - no wires are needed as the felting helps it hold its shape.

P.S you DO stuff the antlers which you’ve knitted on 3.5mm (US 5) needles!
