My Eye! Patch is knit in the round using scrap yarn. It fastens around the head with crocheted chains. Infinite variations are possible--anything from a plain black patch to buggy alien eyes.

Yarn: You will need just a few yards of worsted-weight scrap yarn in your chosen colors. The pictured eyepatch used less than 10 yards total of three different wool/acrylic blends.

Supplies:

  • 4 US size 8 double-pointed needles
  • 1 size F crochet hook (size isn’t terribly important)
  • tapestry needle

Finished Measurements: Finished eyepatch is approximately 2.25 inches in diameter.

This is the pattern for Week Twenty-One of Pattern a Week at Running Jack Knits.
