Sock knitting is not just fun, sock knitting is practical. You have a great pair of well-fitting comfortable socks at the end of the process. When I created My Favorite Everything sock pattern, I selected each component based on my personal preferences.

The Cuff is 1x1 twisted rib. It is a little tighter than a 1x1 rib, and twisted rib has a nice clean look.

The Leg is long enough to provide stability and comfort, ending below the calf.

The Overall Pattern is slightly ribbed (k3, p1). This ensures a good fit and all-day comfort.

The Heel is a heel flap and gusset design using the Eye of Partridge stitch pattern for the heel flap, and the round heel for the heel turn. I have tried several different heels, and the heel flap and gusset provide the best fit for my foot. I think the Eye of Partridge stitch pattern looks interesting and is comfortable.

The Foot continues the rib pattern on top and stockinette on the bottom, so the fit is comfortably stretchy.

The Toe is a slightly modified wedge toe with a simple taper.
